Amritsar 3 Days Tour

Day 1: Arrive Amritsar

On arrival in Amritsar, meet our representative and get transferred to the hotel. Later, leave for Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib). In the evening, you are free to spend the time at your leisure. You can try out Amritsari Naan which can be found in the local dhabas and restaurants. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2: Amritsar Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Jallianwala Bagh. This historical area is known for the massacre commissioned by General Dyer, during the British Rule. Later visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama (museum) and Mata Lal Devi Temple (replica of Vaishno Devi temple Katra ). In the evening, after lunch visit Wagah border. The guard changing ceremony every evening in the India- Pakistan border is the highlight of the area. By late evening, you return to the hotel room for overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to shops in the local markets of Amritsar. Later get transferred to the railway station/airport for your onward journey.

Visit Durgiana Temple: - The temple complex houses Shree Laxmi Narayan Mandir with a huge pond on its periphery. Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum and Panorama in Ram Bagh The landscaped garden with summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the center.The Maharaja later named it Ram Bagh. It has a museum with relics of Mughal era and hand drawn sketches and portraits of the ruling Sikhs.

In evening visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony-Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Transfer Back to Hotel.
